We have been very busy with school activities and in concluding this e-twinning project but found time to put in action what really concerned us once we learned about the problems waste is creating to our globe.

Living on the coast learning about the Garbage Patch the students involved in this project which helped them acknowledge the issue and made them want to actively do something to solve it.  So we took the students to our beaches and together we collected all the waste we found.   We were followed by the local TV cameras and interviewed.  At the end of the morning we collected over 110 kg of waste, the majority of which was plastic.
